First Training Workshop for Instructors in Apeñ Muchik – Aprendo mochica

The first session of the Training Workshop for Instructors in Apeñ Muchik – Aprendo mochica (Eloranta & Chávez Tovar, 2025) was conducted by linguist Rita Eloranta (Hanken School of Economics) as part of the Social Responsibility Project of the Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo (UNPRG), “Mochica language and cultural reclamation: use of didactic material and teacher training in the Lambayeque region” (Rectoral Resolution No. 056-2025-R, January 22, 2025).

The workshop consisted of 8 sessions held from April 26 to June 14, 2025, and was officially approved by the Regional Directorate of Education of Lambayeque (RGR No. 000349-2025-GR.LAM/GRED, April 15, 2025). The initiative involves the Cultural Association Apeñ Muchik led by Rita Eloranta, the Regional Directorate of Education of Lambayeque, and the Universidad Pedro Ruiz Gallo Social Responsibility Office. The organizational team included Darío Hernández Quiroz (Regional Directorate of Education: Communication Area) and Milton Manayay Tafur (Universidad Pedro Ruiz Gallo).

The opening session took place in Lambayeque on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 15:00 h.
