This was a webinar, organised by Exeter University (UK). The panel included academics and a Chilean Human Rights lawyer as well as Mapuche representatives that discussed how the FSC certification paints a different picture that what the reality is on the ground. My contribution dealt with how local voices are (not) being heard in the Forestry Stewardship Council's (FSC) certification processes and its impact on the perceived legitimacy and sustainability of forestry operations in Chile.
