Retailing of goods and services, both traditional and in-store as well as e-commerce and omni-channel, face a number of challenges leading some commentators to predict the demise of retailing as we know it. This presentation considers current events and trends not only in retailing, but also across the wider retail supply chain including the economy, globalized sourcing, suppliers, distribution and fulfilment chains, and consumers, to objectively synthesize the major issues and discuss possible scenarios and courses of action.
