Curriculum

I am an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of society, technology, and sustainability transitions, with a focus on Responsible Innovation - especially how we anticipate and safeguard against unintended consequences in real-world contexts.
I currently contribute to the interdisplinary ERC project ReSeed (Blockchain4Biodiversity) at Hanken within the department of Commercial Law. It focuses on co-developing a governance model and ethics guidelines for a digital farmers’ market and innovation chain - centering voluntary participation, data quality, privacy, democratic decision-making, and socio-cultural sensitivities in rural contexts. Additionally to the latter, I will be exploring links between ethical environmental awareness/decision-making and positive mental wellbeing, connecting inner and outer sustainability.

I hold an MSc in Development & Rural Innovation (WUR) and a BSc in Future Planet Studies (UvA) with a Human Geography focus. My previous research has centered on sociotechnical and environmental imaginaries, and the accompanied contextdependent discursive power struggles around contested sustainability transitions. The master thesis examined through a case study design and qualitative discourse analysis, the (de)stabilisation of the onshore socio-technical wind energy imaginary in the Netherlands.
