Curriculum

Natalia's primary area of research is at the intersection of organizational behavior and international human resource management. The overall aim of my doctoral research is to explore innovative approaches in coaching for developing leadership capabilities in contemporary organizational forms in Finland and globally. My doctoral research comprises three little-studied organizational contexts and three innovative coaching approaches relevant to these organizational forms. In particular, first I critically review and advance the literature on the role of executive coaching in enabling global leader learning from international experience in the context of MNCs. Then I qualitatively explore the role of peer coaching on employee self-leadership development within a self-managing Finnish organization. Finally, I quantitatively examine the effect of cross-cultural executive coaching on global leadership development in the context of an international development organization. This knowledge enhances our understanding of how to successfully apply innovative forms of coaching for enhancing leadership capacities to little-studied contemporary organizational contexts, which are of critical importance in Finland and globally.
