Abstract
Abstract
This review serves the purpose of illustrating post Moore (1993) research on business ecosystems. The aim is to pinpoint research gaps and propose novel research areas. First we introduce the ecosystem approach and ecosystem research. Second, in order to understand the post Moore (1993) progress ecosystem research we draw the attention to three specific ecosystem leadership issues emphasized by Moore (1993); (1) Guiding investment directions and technical standards (2) Assuring a robust community of suppliers (3) Maintaining bargaining power by controlling key elements of value. Finally conclusions are drawn and research areas are suggested.
