Abstract

This paper studies the role of high impact firms in Finland. More specifically focus is put on firms in the Health domain. 104 firms in the domain are identified as high impact firms. These firms are unevenly distributed in Finland. The highest concentration of firms is found in the capital area. We find that high-impact firms in the Health domain can be categorized as factor-driven firms or sales&innovation driven firms. It is the latter part that are of most interest for Finnish policy makers. These firms are unfortunately in minority among the identified set of firms.
