Abstract

The field of green supply chain management is rapidly growing and maturing. Significant room still existsfor development in the field including those identified in this book in the context of green logistics and transportation. In this chapter we briefly review some of the important directions for future research in three areas of (1) green logistics network development, (2) green land transportation, and (3) green air and water transportation.
