Abstract

Prime Minister’s Office has funded a project on the national implementation of General Data Protection Regulation. In the project researchers at IPR University Center, University of Helsinki, University of Lapland, University of Tampere reviewed almost 800 statutes and assessed how well in line they are with GDPR. Personal Data Act was not assessed.
The result was that the statutes in Finland are already well in line with GDPR. The most difficult prob-lems are related to the processing of sensitive data.
