Using behavioural and experimental economics to understand the decision making of boundedly rational individuals in markets and organizations that work imperfectly

Our research project uses economics and econometric and experimental methods to analyze how both rational and boundedly rational individuals cope with and make decisions on markets that work imperfectly. The project combines the existing strengths of Hanken economics unit in the fields of Industrial Organization (IO, study of imperfect markets and market power), Behavioral and Experimental Economics (BEE, study of the effects of psychological biases on economic outcomes) and Financial Intermediation Research (FIR, study of economics of financial intermediation).
