Sammanfattning

The purpose of this study is to find out the moderating factors between university innovation philosophy and industry innovation adoption, the moderating effects of university innovation philosophy, and the statistically significant differences of university researchers between eight Swedish universities in the relationship of the university-industry collaboration (UIC). The study reveals that among the moderating factors the mission statement and some characteristics increase positively the impact of the university innovation philosophy on industry innovation adoption. Also, the university innovation philosophy influences the relationships of motives to industry innovation adoption and industry innovation adoption to benefits. Sixteen attitudinal factors are significantly different among the researchers of the eight Swedish universities. Finally, implications, limitations, and future research are discussed.
