Sammanfattning

This chapter overviews issues related to performance measurement for a sustainable supply chain environment. Sustainability is defined as a triple-bottom-line set of dimensions related to economic, environmental, and social performance of organizations. In addition, the supply chain and its dimensions are integrated. The integration of multiple organizations across the supply chain, additional performance dimensions, and multiple stakeholders make the performance measurement of sustainability in supply chains relatively complex. Some dimensions and issues facing performance measurement are introduced. The reader is also provided some identification of emergent and future research directions related to this topic.
